I am a woman, someone always chooses for me;
They forget I'm a human and don't let me be.
Sit down, stand up, listen, don't speak.
Are you not wearing makeup? What a freak!
Get yourself a guy; with lots of nice things,
Ignore it if his love is a lie, his strength should give you wings.
Have children; raise them right;
Be the villain. Let their dad be the knight.
Don’t defend your name, you are too weak.
Let the man take the fame, make sure you don't speak.
Get over it, I’m your equal, I can do as you do.
Get it through your head and be peaceful, I’m as good as you.
I am a woman, I choose for me;
I don’t need a man, I have the stubbornness to do what I want;
Just let me be.
