A child whose features recall to one’s mind
His father’s eyes shining; a sea of blue,
His mother’s smile, o’ so loving and kind.
A child’s life story beginning anew.
Growing up; the excitement of childhood:
Climbing trees, riding bikes, playing ‘warfare.’
Yet, we can’t deny he lives a falsehood,
Fed the hope of a world without despair.
A journey of hopeless expectations.
An inescapable, cyclical hell,
With countless lost and broken relations-
An empty feeling we all know too well.
We begin life with an innocent heart,
Though, with a tainted soul we do depart.
