Lightning strikes the open plains
Thunder rolls with the wild rains
Cracking like a thousand hooves
Running rivers strong and smooth
Coats like soft shiny silk
Colours smooth like buttermilk
Different to the broken and tamed
Horses wild reckless but unashamed
They form bonds with rainbows true
Love as strong as the sky is blue
What man has once called beast
Now his best friend that never say the least
Beauty more than a mocking Jay
He never finds the words to say
They never touch only see
But protect each other it will always be
