You rest your weary head on my knee.
Your job is done.
You saved many lives.
You discovered enemy secrets.
You flew in planes and helicopters.
You sniffed out bombs.
You dodged bullets and crawled through trenches.
You got shot and still survived.
You swam through mud and water.
You were loved by many.
A bullet proof harness you wore with pride.
You will be remembered.
Your work on earth is finished.
Yet here you are...
A hero.
A war dog.
