Battle Worn Cold

The winter cold froze the blood
As the snow fell, tears became floods
More graves dug and made
As the memory of the soldiers began to fade

The warriors killed, sacrificed their lives
Who lost their children and their wives
As we remember the soldiers, brave and bold
Fighting through the battle worn cold

Graves uncarved with the names who died
As the world began to shake and divide
The crimson blood stained the snow
And from their graves, their spirits glow

Bullets pierced them in the chest
As they pummeled down for eternal rest
The story of the great will forever be told
Fighting through the battle worn cold
