Saying Goodbye

As I was at the airport,
A tear slowly trickled down my cheek
My friend gave me a huge hug to say goodbye.
I heard my tears plop to the ground.
I felt my voice drop into my stomach.
My heart sank as she boarded.
We were closer than friends, it was as if we were sisters.
All the happy memories were fading from my mind.
We've been through so much together.
It's hard to see her go into the deep dark clouds.
As she flew away i looked down,
There was a huge puddle of sadness.
Why did she need to leave my life forever?
