Your light brings us days,
With your tubes of brazen rays.
A holy world you sing to us,
A picture of a fine heaven you bring to us.
Your heat is welcome to half of us,
When you express in excess, it is death of us.
You hold us in your embrace some days,
And on others, you strangle us with those brazen rays.
Your highness in the sky is a gift to us,
Or else you might scorch the souls of us.
The sky is a blackness in contrast to you,
Because you shine too bright to give it value.
Your scent is something warm that is undefined,
You make the songbirds sing-out and inside.
They hold themselves happily captive within you,
If you disappear, all of us will too.
