Excellence Award in the 'Write Here Write Now 2017' competition
Down deeper than you could imagine,
Is a sight for the mind and heart
The long luscious deep green sea grass
Covers the brightly glowing silver box
The box that lies on the soft white sand,
Get’s taken away without a sound
I drift through the dark ocean at night,
Leaving a long sea foam trail behind,
The box was found and opened with a gasp
It was a pearl, a pearl with a heart
The rainbow colour stretched out to sea,
It was as beautiful as a cherry blossom tree,
It awoke the ocean town
And a smile floated through the land
As I look out to the far away horizon,
I can see the sun finally starting to arizon
