Shortcut

She wanted to take a shortcut
And steal the quickest way,
Skip the long road there:
A little thief chased by the day.

She found that wild primrose,
Didn't hear the hungry howl
Failed to notice any sign
She stepped in wolf territory now

Darling, your dainty hood
Will never hide your mortal heart.
Head straight into the night
And you won't be home before dark.
