Red poppies for the soldier’s blood.
Lifeless bodies lying in the mud.
Gun fire that can be heard for a mile.
Bombs exploding its vile.
Lest we forget.
Freedom at last.
Flag at half-mast.
The Soldiers fought at Gallipoli.
To save our country.
Lest we forget.
ANZAC biscuits were all they had.
Living in the trenches drove them mad.
These heroes are what made our country free.
The least we could do is pay our fee.
Lest we forget.
