Ding Dong the doorbell rang on a stormy night. Tom was watching a horror movie. He clearly heard the door ring. He felt scared. He opened the door but no one was there! Tom got scared again so he ran up the stairs and went into his bedroom. But suddenly…
The doorbell rang again. Now Tom felt really scared. He decided to hide under a blanket. He walked to the window to peep, but but no one was there. But suddenly…
The door opened and Tom heard footsteps. Tom thought it was someone from his horror movie! He raced to the secret steps out of the washing line and hid there, but the stranger saw Tom. And it was Mr. Murphy.
“Are you OK?” he said.
“Yes, I’m so happy it was you.”
Mr. Murphy said, “Why don’t you come and enjoy some tea at my house?”
Tom said, “Yes,” so they went to Mr. Murphy’s for tea and watched a funny movie together.
