That Day

I remember that day
It was the worst day of my life
My biggest fear was losing someone I love
And that was exactly what happened
I could see my mums eyes filled will tears of sadness
When I found out what had happened my heart broke In two
I couldn't believe what had happened, I thought they were all lying
But the truth was I didn't want to believe it was true
I was in shock and I struggled to coupe
I cried for days on end
All night and all day, I got no sleep
For I had lost my best friend
But most importantly I had lost my beloved dog
Even now everyday is hard and I'm scared that I will forget him
But I know that I won't, never, because I loved him so much
And that he is up in heaven watching over me
Even though his time wasn't up
And he still had a lot of life left in him
Even though what he did was wrong
I still love him and I always will
He was my favourite ‘Hello’ and my hardest ‘Goodbye’
But I will always remember him
Because he was an angel from heaven above
With sloppy kisses and a heart full of love
