Who are they to say who you are
When they haven’t seen the sins you hold
Have they heard all the stories that you keep untold?

You’ve locked them deep inside and thrown away the key
Because you’ve become too afraid
that someone else will see

The pain you keep away
To make the memories fade to grey

You’re a walking contradiction that beauty lies within
But there’s nothing beautiful about the storm you ignite inside
A soul full of dread and darkness is never a pleasant sight
