Giver Of Sight

From high in the sky I bathe my light all around
through some people, I just cannot reach

Darkness hangs around them
like a story left untold

but it is okay if you just choose to accept
for it is those people who can dream without regret

Some peoples souls are full of light
but there is no darkness in which to dream
you see, the night is a beautiful gift from a tired day

But if you cannot let go of the light that was
you will never discover the darkness that is
the darkness that is the giver of sight
to what cannot be seen in the light

but only ever beheld in a dream.
