In with guns they marched,
Through to the front line.
Armed for battle, prepared.
They stood in front of the masses,
Alert, armed, ready for war.
These inexperienced, unlikely soldiers,
Thrust into combat.
Here to uphold and protect.
The enemy?
It is the enemy within.
Trained to teach, now versed to kill.
Entrenched in educating and gentle guidance,
Now in trenches to annihilate.
To teach and protect, duty of care,
Yet ready to murder.
