I never knew that words on paper,
Could mean so much to me,
They could take me away,
To a whole new reality.

Some people wish there was a way to escape reality,
For me there is a way,
Filling my mind with words,
When the rest of the world is grey.

The cliched romantics,
The great mysteries,
Even the tragedies,
There were so many possibilities.

And reading these words on paper,
Comprehending these thousands of words.
Brought me peace,
Like nothing else could.
