Fearing talismanic power,
Seeking religious stability,
They turned on their family and friends,
Looking to the church for strength,
They committed atrocities,
A symbol of their power; a taj,
The steeple,
The centre of their power,
The fear instilled in peoples hearts,
Of change,
Of difference.
