Ode To Books

O books,
your wonderful words whirl and twirl across the page still empty,
to make a story come alive.
As the story occupies my mind,
i empathise for the far-fetched characters.

O books,
you're like exercise for my mind,
making me sprint through your pages non-stop.
You engulf me with exciting stories,
you are an adventure waiting to happen.

O books,
one picture speaks a thousand words,
when one word does the same.
While i fall into a reality unknown,
i see the fabric of a world one author has sewn.
