The wind may howl and the lightning may dazzle and even the rain may pour
But nothing fazes the spectre
Of Old Ascender
Cry of the Night’s Victim, doomed forevermore.
The campers may light their fires and snuggle up tight from the shriek
But nothing fazes the spectre
Of Old Ascender
The terror that tries to speak.
The stream may rinse and the rain may wash and the air may try to purge
But nothing fazes the spectre
Of Old Ascender
The bloodstain that came with a surge.
The doll may move and the clown may kill and the ghost may continue to scare
But nothing fazes the spectre
Of Old Ascender
Don’t deal with Fear: he’s unfair.
