Ocean In Turmoil

Oh Ocean, you are so deep and blue,
I love seeing all the creatures in you
The fish that swim, the sharks that prey
I will protect you, come what may

Over fishing is draining life
Global warming has coral in strife
Oil spills and toxic waste
All of this could be erased

Fishnets are dropped, sea turtles trapped
To the polluted waters they have to adapt
The waves whisper help as they crash to the sand
We could make a big difference if you give me a hand.

Start simple, say no to straws
Push the government to make some laws
Let’s solve this problem at its core
Our ocean is precious and worth fighting for
