Night awakes for an eternal slumber
I feel the shadows as they begin to coil around me-
from me, like snakes slithering silently through my slimy throat and blind my eyes
But i smile anyway, even as they leave no air to breathe.
I scream now but you only hear me whisper
Reality fades everyday, my dagger of ambition has lost its luster
I've lost figures of memories while trying to get away
Only to realise I've locked myself in a scaled cage
In order to be free from this crime
It is impossible to forget and move on can't you see
the venom that leaks out the slewed mirror?
But I'll lick it away and say I am fine.
