Glances in corridors, brushing hands,
Beware! Never more than a minute,
Of course, of course, we have secret plans,
But our publicity must have a limit.
We hold hands in empty alleyways
And embrace in the darkness of night,
Since we can't do anything during the day
When the sun is blazing bright.
So lock the door and pocket the keys
On the way to your reward;
For the moment, at least, though people will fight,
Our love has been outlawed.
