I don’t know why I chose to speak to you
Or why I didn’t stop
But if I had given up and walked away
I’d still be floundering around without a rock

You opened my eyes
You made me smile when I didn’t want to
You took my blindfold off
You were a spark in the night
You made me love my life the way I never had before

I was apprehensive of the future
But with you
I was looking forward to discovering it
