As our friendship fades
My heart you do betray.
Our talks dwindle
Till there’s nothing more to say.
Greetings of mirth
turn into looks of dismay.
As we begin walking
To the separate ways.
I am bracing myself
To witness worse days.
As I sit here on my own
My legs begin to sway.
I wonder what fate may have taken
If I could go back to yesterday.
