A Delightful Day

Finally school is over,
and I no longer have to hear,
the names that people call me,
which makes me want to disappear.
I lay down on my bed,
and silently shed a tear,
but I wipe away my sadness,
and realise the solution is clear.
I’ll tell someone reliable,
about what I overhear,
then I will know surely,
my happiness will reappear.
I now carry a smile,
that shines from ear to ear,
I walk to school with my head held high,
And without any type of fear.
