Battle Of Suprises

Slouch hats, guns loaded and ready,
The feel of the rough stone trigger,
The slippery ground in the trench,
The mud, the freezing iced air,
The quiet battlefield,
Out of nowhere ANZACS come in ships,
All of them racing to shore,
Loud bangs come from the guns,
ANZAC'S shot everywhere,
Smoke from the bombs makes it hard to see,
Fighting as hard as they can day and night,
Terrifying and loud days and quiet nights.
