Once In A Lifetime

Once in a lifetime everything’s in place
Nothing can be moved or misplaced
And everything feels right
Once in a lifetime everyone’s wondering what happened
And we imagine that it didn’t happen
So that it couldn’t dampen our conversation
Once in a lifetime that conversation was everything
Now that conversation is nothing
And we don’t feel regret
In this lifetime we regret not doing it sooner
While we replace our memories with humour
In my lifetime everything was said
Now everything’s just happening in my head
In our lifetime all that mattered was us
Now all we do is cuss
In one lifetime you made a mistake
Now my head is confused how someone could be that selfish
My heart is drunk on indecisiveness
All it took was one sentence and everything we made was broken down
