I feel relaxed... as I stare out of my window and watch the raindrops dancing across the forest. But enduring thoughts rush through my brain and there seems to be a dark cloud in my head. A dark cloud full of pain, isolation and despair. That feeling of wanting to cry and scream out loud...I see nothing but darkness, though the stars shine in my eyes. They say that a star's light shines brightest, when it is starting to collapse. It takes away the essence of who I am, my conscience and my ability to empathize. How do I find my happiness?
I run out of my house and into the forest, where I can feel the wind against my cheeks like a fresh beginning. I keep running more into the cold forest. Something is telling me to keep going, so I don't want to stop myself. My bare feet are rubbing against the moist soil and my hair is soaking wet from the rain. I feel free. My mouth that once was a frown, now has turned into a smile as I inhale a beautiful fragrance of raindrops and roses. I sit next to the forest roses and feel the relaxing stillness of nature...
I guess learning to find happiness is ultimately about experiences, not belongings. It doesn't cost anything to find happiness, you just have to find your deep appreciation for the little things in life.
