Scared Of The Dark

As darkness falls all around
No longer can you hear a happy sound
Close your eyes and go to sleep
Don’t move or make a peep
It’s all around you, yet there’s nothing there
But it’s what you can’t see that will give you a scare
Is it in your head or something real
Human nature or something you feel
Hold on tight and just let go
Because when day breaks you will know
The fear has left you just for now
But it’s hiding in the shadows somehow
It will be back again when night falls
But just don’t answer when fear calls
I’m scared of the dark yes, it’s true
I’m scared of the dark, but should you be too
