I look through the glass in my bedroom,
At my elderly neighbours garden.
The delicate rose petals smell like perfume,
I can see the thorns harden.
All the roses are in a beautiful row,
Colours of red, yellow, white and pink.
She carefully cuts each stem and ties them with a bow,
Slowly she looks up and gives me a wink.
My cheeks turn from peach to red,
As I see her approaching my door.
The delicate petals I always place beside my bed,
So I can think of her some more.
