Eyes not quite right,
A big, wide smile might give some a fright.
Blemishes she covers everyday
And despite her best attempts, they will not go away.
Family tell her not to care,
But with a face like hers it isn’t fair.
Despite the fact it’s not her fault,
People tease relentlessly, they assault.
But there, beneath it all,
is a kind heart and a caring soul.
You see, everyone one has a story to tell,
their face is just the cover, the outside of the clam shell.
So maybe you could make amends,
maybe you’ll turn out to be good friends.
And if you have the time, look deep into this girl,
because you could even find her precious pearl.
