Out in vain a Captain cried
As a cannon roared and a soldier fell
Unknown to the world his courageous deeds
Or of his family name and mates need
For King and Country, they fought on
Never looking back always on
They leave the world with pride and fear
Sorrow in the hearts of those dear
At dusk they marched over the torn up land
The fast fading light casting shadows on the sand
Then darkness swallowed the horizon
As bravely they made their last stand
Comrades to the end
Through whatever war may send
In enemy territory they stood strong
