Butter and salt permeate,
inundating building and bodies.
Anticipation thrums softly.
Hands rustle in enormous popcorn containers and
prattling voices intermingle a tapestry of tones.
Reclining in velvet seats,
tentative fingers interlock.
Laughter bubbles like soda.
Time slows to a snail’s pace,
lights dim, eyes brighten.
The screen animates,
stimulating senses
and generating journeys
for viewers to travel.
