I Am Myself

I am myself.
I always will be.
But I will grow and I will change,
with every chapter, every page.
I will fall and I will rise,
to see the world through brand new eyes.
I will live with all my soul,
but that is just what makes me whole.
I will sink and I will soar,
in my endeavour to be more.
With every page I read, I see the need
to be the best that I can be,
for nothing will ever truly last,
but I am my present and my past.
I am myself.
