Beep, beep, beep,
The sound of the ECG.
Beep, beep, beep,
Why does it have to be me?
Why can’t it go away?
I’m not getting any happier,
While I’m being monitored every day,
As I still have cancer.
The hospital is now my home.
I don’t want it to be true
and I know I’m not alone.
Other kids experience it too.
I watch the rain,
fall from the sky,
While my body fills me with pain
and I watch my days go by.
