A museum of statues.
Grotesque faces, contorted and unwelcoming.
All with the same surprised expression.
Warriors sent on a mission to slay the beast.
In their eyes, one face.
A hideous face with snakes for hair.
In a shield I see her.
It’s too late for me.
For I have seen the dreaded.
Medusa.
