“Chantel, where are you from? Where are you from Chantel?”
“I’m a girl who plays hopscotch outside on a fabulous spring day. I live in a peaceful street where I can play outside on the path in the beautiful weather. I like to read on the front porch on a warm summers day. I live near a highway where I can hear cars passing by in the distance.
I am a girl who like to sing and dance by myself like no one is watching. I came from the outer suburbs of Melbourne in a place called Werribee and moved to the coastal town of Portland when I was halfway through Prep.”
“That’s where I’m from!”
