Oh wretched black and bloody day
Borne on searing, wailing banshee
winds
Whipping frenzied orange ember
towers
Rogue missives igniting random roofs
Disembowling devil tongues of flame
Cracking, cackling at the fallen
fragments of lives.
Inside this howling horror
Human ants scattering, directionless, invisible
Noiseless screams engulfed by Nature's
roar
Deafened until the eerie stillness of the fire's demise.
