She graced people with her smile, like rays of sunshine.
Her contagious laugh brought warmth to hearts like mine.
But in her mind, unpleasant thoughts clouded.
How could I not hear what she was shouting?
Overtime her blue skies turned grey,
the twinkle in her eyes began to fade away.
Her friends could not see what was going on in her head.
Even loved ones neglected the fate coming ahead.
Fake smiles and laughter shadowed her pain.
The memories and moments she tried to regain,
were gone and lost in the hands of her demons.
She said she was fine, but she didn't mean it.
Now she is forgotten, in the past not the present,
but her existence still lingers among the rest of us.
She tried to hold on, they said from the marks they saw.
Alone in the light she stands no more.
