Pass Or Fail?

I was a bird that was free to do whatever I wanted
Now I am a bird that has been burdened, left alone, left to fail
All I want to do is excel, be proud of my achievements
The tests that will show me the way to my future, my destiny
I know that deep inside I will get there, I know I will
But when?
When there is a test, I feel like all of a sudden the whole world is resting on my shoulders
I feel like I am a bird that has noone to help me
A bird that can’t to do anything right the first time
The same words come into my mind, they make me feel like I have no purpose
You are hopeless, dumb, no one loves you the way you are
But why can’t everyone see that I am trying, working hard to be my best
I’m not defined by my results, but the world makes it seem this way
