Snap, cease, halt, freeze, an interruption.
Human beings all around vanish; never to be found,
No knowledge as to their surroundings, another planet? Another universe?
Human beings all around vanish; except me.
Was it only my town? My country? Is there just no-one else around?
But my phone doesn't work and electricity is gone!
Just a day ago all this happened,
Normality dissolved within hours.
This place is a wreck and I don’t know what to do.
Fires littered the land like a deadly disease.
Fires that crackled and popped and smelt like the plague.
This shouldn’t be true. No way.
I charge to the garage, grab the pistol,
Place it on my temple, wheezing as I do.
Vision is blurred, life draining away
I pull the trigger, take it all away.
