The Escape

The Escape
I was walking in the forest with my head held high,
When suddenly I heard voices that slowly died.
My loyal dog Buster barked around,
Looking high in the sky with his tail pointing down.

We climbed a tree to see what we could find,
But what was found was a pleasant surprise.
We ran and we ran across the treetops,
But my foot got stuck on a branch of a tree log.

I screamed, I cried, I worried I might die,
I couldn't see a thing so I let out a sigh.
Someone was coming, I wondered who it was,
It was Buster - my loyal scruffy dog
