Flittering through the gums
On frosty mornings
Or reflective afternoons
Through the bus window
Comes a solar knife
Up the solemn aisle
Penetrating retina
It hides quickly
Then appears with haste
The rays confuse
A hand is raised
Annoyance reigns
Upon the dazed
Seeking solace in a seat
Only to meet
The epileptic sun
