The beginning of my youth started with you,
A world of magic welcomed me, all of my friends too.
We received our yellow letter, green ink read our name,
Hogwarts was upon us with student much the same.
With a stone and a snake, a villain so deadly,
We grew into heroes, we found your family.
We freed the innocent prisoner, survived the horrific games,
We cried over Cedric, fought he who shall not be named.
We broke down over Sirius, were shattered by Dumbledore,
We witnessed your innocence disappear forevermore.
We fought alongside you, until your last breath,
You came back with the Hallows, the master of death.
We stayed hopeful in all the dreadful dark days,
We stayed with you, never leaving, after all this time? Always.
So many memories to be shared, so many stories to tell,
Seven years with Harry Potter, in the end, all was well.
