Peace, not war!

War! It makes a country poor, but what for?
Many problems. None solved. Just makes a person so bitter and cold.
Why do we fight? It is not right.
Many die. Some fry.
Others are shot but some are not.
Why are there fights? There are fights over rights;
Many over land. Countries feel they should expand.
While people fight for what others think is right,
People are dying and planes are flying.
Soldiers are forced to fight for their country, but it is questioned. Is it right?
Bombs flying, people dying. Is this really what you want to see?
People being tortured is cruel. Imagine how you would feel. It’s for real.
Lives lost at such a cost to their family.
People shooting others with a gun. They think it is fun, but this is not a game.
All wars must cease!
We must strive to make peace.
