I have to write a poem
To win 1000 bucks!
But to tell the truth...
My poetry writing sucks.

I'm told that I should write
About peace and love and war.
Well, I just find those tedious.
(And really such a bore!)

Just thinking of that X-Box,
And winning all that dough,
Makes my heart start racing!
So I think I'll have a go!

That's why I'm sitting here writing this
Because I really want that money!
Please don't laugh at my predicament.
It simply isn't funny!
