Excellence Award in the 'Write Along 2018' competition

You may feel down, depressed, or suicidal even
but i'm about to tell you something you may not believe in
The question of today is what matters
And I know you slowly lose yourself every time your heart shatters
But i can give one sentence that is well overdue
The real answer to this is so simple and it's you
The words of the enemy hurt like a jagged blade
And all this time you have been crying for aid
Please listen to me and put down that knife
I know its hard but there is so much more to life
And I am so so sorry for how you are feeling
But you must remember that's the worst way to be dealing
you feel like you have this deep, dark, inescapable void
That gets bigger and bigger every time you get destroyed
Everything i just said is all very true
And the answer to what matters is simply you!
