As the sun goes down I think of you
When I'd play with you it made me happy
Oh I will miss you my dog Jacky
My eyes water but a different water, a sad water that makes you cry
I hold you tight until you go
It's all done the needle is out you can go
The sunlight fades, as the sky turns black
I sit alone with you on my lap
I cry for a while and look at the stars
I accept that you are at peace
And all of your pain has been released
You were my friend for thirteen great years
I smile and remember you as I wipe away my tears
As the stars shine, remember everyone loves you forever and ever
