The Enchanted Garden.
It was so beautiful when I saw honeysuckle drape its long leafy arms around
the wondrous wishing well like a python.
It was so lovely when I heard the rich red rose whisper delicately to its neighbour,
“what a sweet smell you have.”
It was so uplifting when I sensed the frolicking fireflies light up the garden
like lanterns dancing in the wind.
It was so peaceful when I felt the cool crisp water from the pond sing
as it vaporised into the sweltering evening air.
It was so intoxicating when I smelt the freshly cut grass who seemed to cry,
“Please don’t shear me again!”
It was so unfortunate when I noticed the mesmerising lilac tree titter
as the squirrel tripped over her wily tangled limbs.
