Something Wonderful

When I was younger I witnessed something I cannot explain,
It was extraordinary, amazing, something no one can contain.
It was beautiful, sparkly, entirely made of glitter.
It was magnificent, wonderful, the opposite of bitter.
It was a soft baby blue, with just a hint of purple,
Magically, it seemed as aquatic as a sea turtle.
The second it's sweet fragrance drifted up my nose,
It caused all my feelings and my senses to explode.
When I touched it, an array of butterflies appeared,
Three years ago today, my eyes had just teared.
It was a one of a kind flower that had just disappeared.
It was gone... but was it ever there to begin with?
